Frequently Asked Questions

Which airport is closest to the venue?

Fly into Minneapolis-St.Paul (MSP) airport, the #1 ranked airport in North America

Since the FSI Ministry Hub is in the suburbs, in a business park area, it's not served by buses, trams, or trains.  Only Minneapolis downtown areas have these transport options.

What transport options run from the airport?

MSP airport is 20 minutes by car to the conference site.  Using major highways and streets, it's very easy to get to.  Many hotels offer service to and from the airport, depending which place you book.   The airport is also served by designated Uber and Lyft ride-share zones.

Which hotels are easiest for conference access?

The Mall of America (MOA), which is in between the airport and the conference site, is a great spot for hotels, restaurants, and shopping.  MOA is 8 minutes from the airport, and 15 minutes to the conference location.  MOA is the largest mall in America and a fun place to visit.  Minneapolis is home of the America's first mall (born of wintery seasons) and the biggest mall.

There are no hotels within walking distance of FSI's conference site, however many hotels are located in the area and accessible by car within 15 minutes or less.  Hotels rates run from $110 to $300 USD.

How do I get around using transit?

Cars, Uber, Lyft are the best options.  Since the FSI ministry center is in the suburbs, in a business park area, it's not served by buses or train.

Where can I eat near the venue?

Eateries such as fast food and restaurants are within a 5-mile radius by car.  There are no convenient walkable eating spots.  Food will be brought in for lunches as noted in the conference schedule.

What local sights are there to see?

Minneapolis has many fun places to visit if you have time before or after the conference.  Here's a starter on free things to do (many helpful links in this article) and some top 20 attractions.  We encourage you as well to connect with local attendees to get tips on what to do or where to go, or better yet, do it with them!
